An integrated approach to map out strategy for natural disasters prevention, taking a closer look at flood and earthquakes hazards as well as strategies for natural disaster preparedness and capacities assessment across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Europe and the region. 2011 was the costliest year on record for disasters with estimated global losses of US$380 billion and beyond 2015, disaster losses set to outpace economic growth with expected global disaster losses to hit US$500 billion unless there are comprehensive risk assessments and integration of risk-reduction measures in place, including mapping out various strategies to reduce future flood and earthquake losses. This conference will showcase perspective, innovative solution and technology to solve persistent flood problem as well enhancing earthquake resistance strategy.
